Our Origin Story
Thames has always had a strong affinity with water and the sea. Residents and visitors originally swam at Curtis' salt water swimming baths, Curtis Wharf, at the end of Albert Street.
1905
The first mention of a Thames Swimming Club comes from the original Thames pool which was located at Victoria Park and opened in 1905 with the clubs first carnival in 1907.
